Earlier this week we took a short break from our farm chores and headed to the mountains. Our destination ... Yellowstone National Park. We live so close to the Park that we can easily visit it on a day trip.
We drove over the Beartooth Mountain Pass on our way to Yellowstone.
The Meyer Family at Beartooth Lake
Once inside the Park, we enjoyed seeing beautiful mountains, rivers, animals, and wildflowers.

We stopped and hiked up to Trout Lake. This is one of our favorite lakes!
Doug, Sally, and Emily
The views were spectacular and we enjoyed hiking around the lake.
The flowers were in full bloom!
We were privileged to walk on trails lined with purple, yellow, red, blue, and white flowers.
O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. - Psalm104:24
The Lamar River Valley in Yellowstone was teaming with bison. We saw thousands of them grazing and resting along the river.

We made it home by chore time and our sheep were happy to welcome us!
God's creation was so beautiful! We were thankful to get away for the day and relax as we drove through the mountains.
